Brothers and lifelong surfers, Ben and Matt Murphy were frustrated at the lack of a surf shop near the wave rich breaks around Bird Rock in La Jolla. "We've been surfing forever, both of us," said Ben Murphy, who returned to the area after graduating from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. "I was in retail for awhile. I just got done with school, and had a local (surf) shop up there, Wave Lengths. I got the experience, loved it. I took a lot of the information I learned up there to this shop." Besides having a great selection of brands Ben and Matt make it a point to make sure that their team delivers exceptional customer service. “We know that having the right gear is essential when you surf.
